Hi forum
I'm using a fresh install of Kubuntu 6.06, and trying to install firefox.
Tried using both Adept, and manually via sudo apt-get install firefox.
Also tried the installnewfirefox.sh script, but it crashes too.
In Adept, I enabled the universe and multiverse repositories.
Then searched for firefox, and "request install" firefox.
Gives "BREAK (install)" message. D'uh ?
sudo apt-get install firefox gives more helpful messages :
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
firefox: Depends: libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.9.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.8.0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages
So how is the best way to get the atk/gtk libraries installed ?
Much TIA's
