no sound for other user except the first

I have installed kubuntu (6.06) in a couple of computer facing the problem reported in the subject. Basically everything work fine for the first user, the one inserted during the installation, but nothing works for the others created afterwards. The kmix present an icon showing the fault (white cross on red button). I tried to look around the log file but can't find anything usefull. It must be something KDE related cause switching to the first user without rebooting brings everything OK.

Sorry ....
SOLVED reading another post reporting some problem in creating user and rights. I checked the secondary group of the other user created and it lacked all of the included sound, floppy etc... just added those and everything worked fine...
