Okay, this is a small issue, but it would be nice to be able to fix it if anyone has ideas.
I've added options for "Play DVD with VLC" and "Play DVD with MPlayer" to my menus, so that I can select them when I insert a DVD, but when I try to do this, I get the error message "/media/cdrom0 is a folder, but a file was expected." I might have the MPlayer one set up incorrectly, but the vlc one specifically refers to /dev/hdc - it's set up as "wxvlc dvd:///dev/hdc".
I was able to add an "open" option for Xine without a problem, and it works perfectly. The command line for that was "xine autoplay=fh dvd:/ #%u".
What am I doing wrong here?
