    UPdated amarok-xine K3b no mp3 suppport

After the recent update where amarok and amarok-xine were update I no longer have mp3 burning support in K3b.

Where to I configure the mp3 burning support in K3b ?

    Serpentine works perfectly still .

Try to check if libk3b2-mp3 is installed and/or updated. There's an update for k3b and this package in dapper-backports.

Good on you, Jucato. Was having the same problem myself and had no idea how to fix it. That did the trick nicely.

      Cheers

didn't work for me - I still get two messages:

Amarok cannot currently play mp3 files

With a button to install mp3 support (which apparently does nothing).

And a box "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers".

          Any ideas?

          thx, Beemer

            FIXED:

            apt-get remove libxine-extracodecs

            apt-get install libxine-extracodecs

So basically, it appears the amarok update broke how libxine-extracodecs was hitched to amarok. Reinstall fixed it back up
