    KMyMoney2 and Kubuntu

I'm running KMyMoney 0.8.2 on my IBM thinkpad with Kubuntu Dapper Drake release. KMyMoney keeps on crashing when I import account information from a QIF file, and I'd like to update it to version 0.8.5. However, after I downloaded the *.rpm file and converted in to a *.deb file. I'm getting an error message about a broken pipe and not being able to overwrite /usr/share/man/man1/kmymoney2.1.gz.

I've tried uninstalling 0.8.2 with adept, then installing either 0.8.4 or 0.8.5 with dpkg, but these don't seem to work. It looks like it installs, but I can't access it thru the start menu nor is the executable in the /usr/bin directory.

    Any ideas for solving this??

    Thanks
    Andy

I did the same....the KMymoney in the edgy repositories does not have OFX enabled....really frustrating.
