    Removing Akregator blows away KDE

GAH! So I fire up Adept last night to clean out some packs I don't use, mark akregator and a few games for removal, and hit go... a few minutes later, and adept has been nice enough to remove KDE for me wtf... so I clean up the mess and start trying to figure out wth went haywire, and I find that if I mark Akregator for removal, it marks a bunch of other packages as well, including KDE! Is this a bug? Or am I missreading a feature of adept to be kind enough to remove things it thinks I might not need anymore... "Well heck, he's not reading RSS's... he must not need a GUI."

Are you sure it removed the actual kde packages and not just the meta-packages?

Meta-packages are empty packages that depend on the actual packages so you can install a complete software array (like kde) easily. Meta-packages that depend on akregator are, for example, 'kde', 'kdepim' and 'kubuntu-desktop'...if you remove a package that is part of a meta-package, the 'parent' meta-package is removed as well (since you don't have 'the complete kde' anymore). This is not usually a big deal as the meta-packages don't provide anything by themselves.

If removing akregator tries to remove actual software packages it might indeed be a strange bug, but I haven't seen it (marking akregator for removal won't remove software packages on my machine)
