Evolution not opening PDF's or URL's

Hello All. I am continuing to test Kubuntu as a replacement for all my customers running SuSE. I have a few users of 6.06 running Evolution as their Email client, and they both have the same problems.

In evolution they cannot directly open a PDF file. They have to save to the desktop (or to home) and open that way.

They also cannot open s weblink within an Email. They have to save the link location, open up firefox and paste.

My SuSE users don't have any problems doing this within Evolution so I know it can be done. I did try to find the "default applications" area within settings and by directly opening up kcontrol, but it's not there (or I cant find it)

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Chris,
    Download sudo apt-get install gconf-editor

After it is installed, /kmenu/run gconf-editor

    Drill down to /desktop/url-handlers/http

change command nautilus %s to firefox %s

Do the same thing for https

This worked great for me. I thank you very much for your assistnace. I still have the PDF issue to overcome but you got me halfway there.

I tried this, but the version of Evolution (2.4.x) does not have a plugin area. The older versions I have on the network do (1.4.X). Thanks for your Email.
