Re: flashplugin-nonfree
The best way to install Flash is with Automatix. http://www.getautomatix.com/

Re: flashplugin-nonfree
I'd suggest removing flashplugin-nonfree and flash-mozplugin or whatever it's called and get the installer right from www.adobe.com
It's not hard to install, just unpack it and run it. Hit enter to all the questions and it's done. I works better than any packages that I've used.

Yes you can install Automatix in the good old USA
You are NOT to install the NON-FREE audio and dvd codecs

Re: flashplugin-nonfree
I think you would need to upgrade the flashplugin-nonfree to the most recent version in dapper-backports. It seems that Adobe changed something, and now the older version won't work.
The older version is 7.0.63.3ubuntu3, while the most recent (and working) version is 7.0.68~ubuntu2~dapper1. This is found in dapper-backports.
