    flashplugin-nonfree

    I installed flashplugin-nonfree useing synaptic but its not working.Mozilla still said plugins needed to be downloaded when i go to newgrounds or myspace Anyone know whats wrong?

    The best way to install Flash is with Automatix. http://www.getautomatix.com/

          I'd suggest removing flashplugin-nonfree and flash-mozplugin or whatever it's called and get the installer right from www.adobe.com

          It's not hard to install, just unpack it and run it. Hit enter to all the questions and it's done. I works better than any packages that I've used.

            Yes you can install Automatix in the good old USA
            You are NOT to install the NON-FREE audio and dvd codecs

              sudo sed -e 's/multiuser/defaults/' -/var/lib/dpkg/info/flashplugin-nonfree.postinst

              sudo dpkg --configure -a

              try these in konsole it worked for me

                I got it installed with automatix , but how do i get the sound to stop being all choppy

                  Anybody? I heard you have to change ''none''to ''auto'' but i dont know how to get to the proper config file.

                    I think you would need to upgrade the flashplugin-nonfree to the most recent version in dapper-backports. It seems that Adobe changed something, and now the older version won't work.

                    The older version is 7.0.63.3ubuntu3, while the most recent (and working) version is 7.0.68~ubuntu2~dapper1. This is found in dapper-backports.
