Problems updating amarok

Hello,

I have problems to upgrade amarok from 1.4.1 to 1.4.3. The reason is that libvisual-plugins are only available in version 0.2 while amarok 1.4.3 requires libvisual0.4-plugins.

I cannot find the reason for this.

The current version on my system is amarok 1.4.2 , I do have libvisual-0.4-0 on my system. My sources list is very basic.

The only difference may be that I ran automatix, and have KDE 3.5.3.

Let's try this one:
wget http://people.ubuntu.com/~jriddell/k...iddell-key.gpg
sudo apt-key add kubuntu-packages-jriddell-key.gpg

You will get a message "OK" (you may also get a warning about no ultimately trusted keys found).

Important: you need to enable dapper-backports to be able to install Amarok 1.4.3. This includes unsupported updates for other popular packages including KTorrent and K3b.

Apt source:

* deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-143 dapper main

Packages are available for i386, PowerPC and AMD64.

Problem solved: I included dapper-backports in my sources-list, now all my woes are gone ...
