Hi,
with much help I have managed to compile from source a modified version of SANE to assist a backend developer. Also installing to the same directory lay out as Kubuntu. I used checkinstall for the installation. All this has gone as planed, Adapt even shows the backends as installed however the same is not true for libsane, this is installed correctly but is not shown as installed in Adept and this is stopping me installing any frontend.
Can anybody tell me how to register this package to the system data base. Please be specific with any instructions as I am new to Linux.
