    can only run one sound at a time

    When I'm listening to music on any of the players in kubuntu and surfing the net with firefox or flock, if I come across a site with a video (like youTube) and play it it will have no sound. Even if I turn off the player.
    To Get sound from the video I have to close the music player and close the browser then start the browser again to get the sound for the video. And if I try to start amarok while the video is playing it says xine can't run audio.

    How can I make it so more than one thing at a time can use the sound card?

    i believe thats a flash problem
    here is how i fixed it.

    sudo apt-get install alsa-oss

    sudo kate /etc/firefox/firefoxrc

    FIREFOX_DSP="aoss"

    aoss worked for me but it froze sometimes so i used "auto" instead of aoss.

      that worked! Thanks. I never would have thought of that.
      Mainly cuz I have no idea what I just did. But hey, I'm still learning.
      Now if I could just get that to work with "Flock".
