Kaffeine / Amarok no playback

Hi !

I am ale to play mp3s with XMMS, but not with Kaffeine or Amarok. There is no playback at all; the files are immidiately skipped.

My soundcard is configured properly, it is set to device0 standardly. The sounds in all other applications work perfectly.

Any idea what may be causing this ? I wont be using those players anyway, but I like to have my linux 100% faultless :]

I'm assuming you have, but just to get the obvious ones out of the way, have you followed the directions here..

Since both Kaffeine and Amorok use Xine by default, you may want to double check that you have libxine-extracodecs and libarts1-xine installed.

Lastely, check the mixer and make sure nothing is muted.
