Evolution 2.6.1 is seriously broken on my machine: it constantly emits error messages at a fantastic rate, and takes up to 98% of the CPU at all times. This appears to be a known problem with this version (according to the Evolution mailing list), and I have been told that I should upgrade to the latest stable version, Evolution 2.8.
I do all my updates using apt-get (or adept), and the latest version of Evolution available on the places I have in my sources.list file is 2.6.1. Can anyone suggest where to find Evolution 2.8 packaged so I can update using apt-get?
There is no information about this available on the Evolution web site (that I can find, at least). The sources are available at the Evolution web site, but I'm not currently brave enough to compile the code myself.
