    UpDating Kubuntu Dapper?

    Hi all...

    I have Kubuntu 6.06.1 installed in my PC... I've heard that distribution have several years of support... my question is... will they continue updating this dist?... I wan to know this because it was anounced the realease of OpenOffice 2.0.3 and other packages only for Kubuntu Edgy Eft...

    I think security and major updates will...
    it is rather simple to update to edgy though i do not know the consequences as of yet...
    maybe i will test it out when i get the guts (or lose my senses)

      I jumped to Edgy and I'm amazed. it is marvelous. It's surprisingly stable as a beta project. Didn't have much to loose so i took the risk but I'm happy.

        What method did you use to update?
        i was told the "easy" way is to just change all of the entries in the source list to edgy instead of dapper.
