    Theme Installation

I can't seem to be able to compile / install additional themes (fromo kde-look.org)

    ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`

    dies with

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

Any ideas? It seems it may need some packages but couldn't figure out which ones

I pity any Linux novice trying to download stuff from kde-look. That site is not exactly user friendly for Linux migrants... I'm sorely peeved with all this crap. If they want Linux to be popular with users other than the geeky types that code it, they need to start making these things much, much easier to install.

Okay, first, you need some header stuffs and build-essential packages. Try to apt-get (or Adept) the xorg-x11-dev package and then try to compile it again. If you stuck somewhere, try to post all of error messages, if possible.

      Good luck
