    winecfg hangs on first run.

    Hello,

Ran some searches on google and found several people with this same
problem, however there were no solutions posted.

I updated the repository list and installed the latest version of wine (0.9.20)
    winecfg tells me:
"wine: creating configuration directory '/home/[name]/.wine'..." and hangs after that.
the directory is not created after I ctrl-c to kill winecfg. Behaviour is the same
after restarting kde and restarting computer and running winecfg with "sudo".

    any help would be appreciated.

    cheers.

try running this command: rm -fr ~/.wine

and make sure you arent running wine as root (that means no sudo)

try running this command: rm -fr ~/.wine
Ran that, it seems to complete, I get another prompt right away.

No change as far as running winecfg though.

It seems strange to me that I can perform remove on a directory I can't tunnel into.

      Are my permissions off somewhere?
