Trying to win the “dumbest question of the month” award: When using Konqueror as a file manager, is there a way to make a global change so that every time it is opened, the default view for everything is “detailed list view”--no icons? I have tried to find a way to make a global once-and-for-all change, but I don't see it. My thanks to anyone who has the patience to put up with the likes of me.

Re: Konqueror global "default list view" setting?
Curiously enough, that's exzctly the same mode that I use. But I can't tell you exactly how I get to it, I set it once as part of my general post-upgrade settings routine then, in System Settings>"KDE Components">"Session Manager", I choose "On Login">"Restore Manually Saved Session". Then when I have all screens set up to my satisfaction, I save the session with "K>Save Session" and forget about it until the next KDE upgrade.
