Amarok & mp3s

How can I enable mp3 support in Amarok (1.3.9)? Amarok wont seem to notice the gstreamer engine (or do I need another package, amarok-gstreamer WON'T install (downloaded the amarok-gstreamer package and that won't install either).

Amarok-gstreamer isn't available for dapper, in dapper amarok uses the xine engine (there were some problems with the gstreamer engine)

For mp3 support you need 'libxine-extracodecs' package from 'ubuntu multiverse' repository.
