Full backup to USB drive

I just purchased a 250Gb USB 2.0 drive. I want to do a full backup of my 160Gb main hard drive (about 55% full). I'm making a long distance move and want to carry a full copy with me while my desktop machine makes the container move. What is the best tool to copy the full hard drive to the USB drive? I usually use KDar for my backups. Is this a good choice for a full backup? TIA

I would just do a plain file copy to the stick and as a double write a CD of the same data.
