    Help on runing sotware!

Hello all. I am very new to all of this and really don't know what I am doing. LOL. I need to know how to run files. I just downlaod some software to run an ISP setup. I do not know what you look for to run the program. Like in Windows I know that an .exe file runs what I am wanting. with linax I have no clue. I want to be able to setup new accoutns, emails and ext with an linax OS software. If any of you know of any good programs I can use please let me know. And I do want to thank every one who is going to help me with this for there time and knowleg. I have heared a lot of good things as of late about linax and thought I would give it a try with my ISP sever.

It sounds like you want to install something from source which may be difficult for someone who i new to this. The easiest way to install software is to use Adept.
if you insist on installing from source, here is a guide.

as for ISPs, i havent much ISP support but most have a website where you can access all of the email accounts, account settings, billing and such. There, you can just use Firefox.
