help! installing build-essential

i am trying to install build-essential and this is what i get:

Well - you have to remove those # marks (uncomment).

Should be: deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted not #deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted.
