    OpenOffice

I was working in OpenOffice and the spell checker/auto mis spell is nto working..

I typed.. alihgoaehrgoaeghqeirghiqoe5qoehioqeh and did a spell check and it said it was fine..

No underline for misspelled words, nothing.....

    Let me know..

    Okay.

    Here's what's crazy.

When I paste in your gibberish, spellcheck says it's fine. When I type in my own gibberish, spellcheck gives it the red squiggly underline...

What's so special about your gibberish that it passes spellcheck?

Figured it out--by default the "check words with numbers" options is unchecked in the spellcheck options.

Take the 5 out of there, and it'll be underlined.

I figured it out guys.. Thanks.. Stupid user error. I had to 'tell' OO what dictionary to use. Apprantly I installed several, French, German, ect.. I told it English and even my own gibberish is underlined now.. HA!!

Thanks though, I am sure I am not the first, nor last to have this boggle.
