Boring with konqueror and file association

Hi,

I'm trying to install some new stuff on my kubuntu but every time I click on a link to download my progs, Kate open and so I can't saved my binaries files. (for exemple .skz)

Does any1 know how to change this behavior ?

Kate won't work with binary files. Have you tried to install the things you're looking for with apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, or adept? Any of those programs install things with very little trouble (none at all, if you don't adept). Of course, your limited to the 18,916 packages in the repositories. But if you're requirements aren't too exotic, you should be OK.
