Does Kubuntu DVD not contain kdeedu, kdevelop, kdegames?

Dear friends, I have downloaded and installed Kubuntu 6.06.1 CD version. I did not see any kdeedu, kdevelop or games products. I thought this is because it is difficult to put them all in one CD.

OK I thought I will get the DVD and it will contain kdeedu, kdevelop and kdegames. (By kdevelop I mean Qt Designer etc too.) But this list file tells me that kdeedu, kdevelop and kdegames are not present on the DVD. Please tell me that this is not true!

Why in God's name would I download a 3.5 GB DVD image only not to have kdeedu, kdevelop and kdegames? Please respond. Thanks!

I do not know why the files don't show for you, but they are available in the repositorites. Launch Synaptic or Adept and search for kdeedu or kdegames, and you should get a hit. If you do not, be sure the universe and multiverse repositories are enabled, and try again. They're there. I know, because I added them myself (several times today, but that's another thread ..)

Well that was not I meant. I know they are in the repos. I want to know whether they are there in the DVD or not. Is there any meaning in my downloading the extra 2.8 GB for the DVD (compared to 700 MB for the CD) if there are no kdeedu, kdegames, kdevelop packages?

ok i found something. as far as i can see by doing kdiff on the dvd.list and the alternate-cd.list, the bulk of the content of the dvd lies in internationalization files, aspell ispell packages, -dev packages, something called db, emacs, additional development packages like dbg, a lot of gnome applications, kdegames, kdesdk, kdetoys, kdewebdev and koffice

but i was also told at #kubuntu-devel that:

the dvd doesn't install anything more than the cd, it just makes the packages available without additional download ( unless they have been updated since the dvd was made )
