    DesktopSecure??

    Hi all!....

    Recently I saw an announcement of the exit desktopsecure of Panda for Ubuntu...but when looking for it to install it not it encounter... how I can install it?...

    somebody has used it? what so is?

    I would hate to say that Linux is totally immune to viruses, because it isn't, but there have been so few viruses directed at Linux, that I doubt that an anti-virus program that relies on the signature of known viruses would have anything to check. Other than that, I would think that installing security updates as soon as they become available is all the protection that a user-desktop linux system needs. In addition there are email security programs like bogofilter.

    If you are running a server, you can add an anti-virus program to your setup, simply because, otherwise you might be held responsible when your windoze using customers get viruses. I have no idea whether Panda's program is any good, or not. I do know that there are FREE (as in both speech and beer) a-v programs that are supposed to be pretty good.
