Windows list dissapeared from panel?

The windows that are currently open have dissapeared from my panel. I can add the Windows List applet but this is not the same as seeing the actual tab for the window in the panel.

How do I get this feature back?

Try adding the Taskbar applet (from the Add Applet to Panel dialog box).
