my a member of the sane developers group is trying to help me to get a canon 2700f film scanner to work on Kubuntu. The problem is that I need to De-bug it but when I try by using the following commands
export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255
export SANE_DEBUG_CANON=255
export SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI=255
scanimage -L 2> test.log
I appear to just be returned to the command prompt, with out any error message or a De-bug log(maybe I just can not find it). Do I need to install additional software/lib to perform a De-bug or am I just being dumb and missing something. my knowledge of Unix/Linux is very limited.
I will be eternally gratefull for any assistance as I've been trying to get this to work for about 4 weeks now.
