    Firefox strange panel button

So, question...When I open a second, third, or more-th firefox window (not tab), the new window pops up, but there is also another bar in the KDE panel that reads "Firefox Web Browser" that has a moving hour-glass over the Firefox logo. Upon mouseover, it reads "Firefox Web Browser\nLoading Application..." (where the \n stands for a newline i.e. does not literally appear). It stays like this for around 20 seconds, and then disappears. This bothers me although it causes no harm. Firefox is being launched with the command 'firefox'. What is this?

Does it do the same sort of thing when you load the first FF window?

No, only second, third, fourth...and so on.

This may be a function of the way that you have launch feedback notification set up. In System Settings go to Panel >"Launch Feedback" and play around with "Taskbar Notification".
