I dual boot kubuntu and ubuntu--both updated and current at this posting. In ubuntu I have ekiga as a default softphone. I'm using skype in kubuntu because ekiga will not install. The message is libgnomevfs-common breaks the system.
I know, from research, that there was a conflict between libgnomevfs-common and gnome-panel (not installed) but I did not find additional conflicts. Does anyone know what I have installed that might create the conflict? Depending on the file, I might be willing to uninstall something in order to have ekiga available, too, in kubuntu.
TIA for any assistance.
BTW, after using Mandrake/Mandriva for several years, Ubuntu/Kubuntu ROCKS!
