hello. I just installed compiz following a guide at compiz.net. as soon as I restarted and logged in, my desktops dissapeared and I was only left with one (as opposed to 10), most apps do not start, and when they do I cannot see them in the kicker/panel, and finally all apps are missing their window decoration, thus not giving me the ability to move them across the desktop, minimize, maximize, etc.
At its current state, my Kubuntu is useless, as I can't use most of the apps. As a consequence I'm writing this from my busted three year old laptop which is running knoppix 3. Is there a way to fix this?
