Configure Desktop->Create New->[Document]

How do i configure what types of empty documents that I can create with the sequence:
Right Click Desktop -> Create New ->[List of documents]

I didnt know until a couple of seconds after reading your question. I googled for

kde "create new" menu

The entries voor the Create New menu can be found in
/usr/share/templates (KDE 3.4 on CentOS 4 aka Redhat
EL 4). Removing those files will empty the Create New
menu...

An ls of that directory shows it contains a load of .desktop files. Modify, copy or delete them I guess. Theres probably also a local version of the directory, ~/.kde/share/templates or something.
