The entries voor the Create New menu can be found in
/usr/share/templates (KDE 3.4 on CentOS 4 aka Redhat
EL 4). Removing those files will empty the Create New
menu...
An ls of that directory shows it contains a load of .desktop files. Modify, copy or delete them I guess. Theres probably also a local version of the directory, ~/.kde/share/templates or something.
