I can't seem to find a Kuickshow package on any of the repositories. I've read on the 'net (http://www.elijahlofgren.com/linux/u...tall-kuickshow) that for some reason, there isn't one for Dapper and that you need to install the Debian package to get it. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and if so is there any reason for the lack of a Kubuntu Kuickshow package/when it is likely to appear?

Re: Kuickshow
I think that the reason why Kuickshow was dropped out of Dapper was 1) because Kuickshow itself is unmaintained and seems to be deprecated or 2) no one on Dapper's side is willing to maintain it or 3) both (no one's willing to maintain it because Kuickshow itself is unmaintained).
In any case, Kuickshow's functions seems to be very similar to GwenView, which is Kubuntu's default image viewer. There are other KDE image viewers, too. Take your pick. Unfortunately, it seems that Kuickshow is ready to retire, unless someone picks it up again.
