i just installed it from source very easily.....
first time i installed from source actually.....

its a applet so you gotta right-click the panel and add an applet to the panel.....


edit: i kinda like it but it runs kinda slow on my system.....

Thanks for the quick reply. Just wanted to write that the install was as simple for me as well, just:

.configure; make; make install
