I am running 32 bit Firefox on my AMD64 using linux32 and everything has been going swimmingly. But last night a problem arose with the fonts being used in dialogue boxes, for example the Save Link As dialogue. The fonts are being displayed as those boxes ([]).
Now I think there are two possible causes. 1, I accepted an update last night from synaptic:
And 2, I was trying to get a 32 bit version of MPlayer to run last night. For this I installed
and reinstalled
After the problem began I removed the newly installed packages. Also I tried reinstalling the libgtk2 libs (guessing that that might be the source of the problem). But the problem persists. I havent seen it in any other program as yet, just FF.
Although, in case it helps, around the same time I began to have a problem with ndiswrapper. I eventually got it working by removing it as thoroughly as I could and then reinstalling it (from source).
Just to clarify, Firefox looks fine. All the fonts Im looking at now are normal. Its just if I open a dialogue. **** it, Ill just attach a screen shot.
Im sure this is a simple thing, just a lib needs to be reinstalled or something ... Anyone know?
Thanks,
