auto connect to wireless network?

Hi, is it possible to automatically connect to a perferred wireless network in Kubuntu, instead of using "Wireless Assistant" to manually connect? ideally I would like to turn my computer on and be connected to the internet.

What driver are you using for your wireless card?

I have a Compaq V200z with a broadcom wireless card in it, and with the ndiswrapper module running the wireless card it does autoconnect to any not-encrypted network automatically (or even encrypted if i have connected at least once before).

Not sure exactly what you could do to make it auto-connect if it won't, but maybe if i know what driver you're using i can try to find some info...
