Re: KDE screensaver saga (again)!
After trying numerous suggestions found throughout these forums, this is what worked for me.
I removed the kscreensaver, kscreensaver-xsavers, xscreensaver, xscreensaver-data, xscreensaver-data-extra, xscreensaver-gl and xscreensaver-gl-extra via Adept Manager.
Then I re-insatlled them all, as well as the kscreensaver-xsavers-extra again via Adept Manager.
Now the screensaver starts at the specified time, as well as permits the unlock feature to function.
