I am using a ThinkPad R51 laptop which has a Conexant softmodem. I downloaded and installed the debian package driver for my kernel version (Dapper Drake).
I configured kppp. Now whenever I try dailing up, I get the message in kppp: "The modem is busy". I tried everything I could think of but it just does not work. Not even after a full reboot.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
