    save aliases

    Hi!
I'm fairly familiar with *nix, but I'm stumped on how to save aliases in Kubuntu. Can someone tell me what file(s) to modify to add my own aliases to the command set? And do I have to separately modify aliases for users and root?

    Thanks for any help!

    Re: save aliases

wrong forum, but what are aliases (can't move to the correct forum unless I know what this topics about)? I googled and it seems like something used for a shortcut. My guess would be you have to make a shell script in your path (like in /usr/bin or something)

Try these links as it is apparent that I know nothing, but I kinda-sorta know what aliases are now:
