Help - playing audio from a Samba share = crash.

    Hi all
First post here, wasnt sure wether it should go here or in network really...Anyway, happy user of Kubuntu, except for one thing. I have a Linkstation NAS box that I keep all my MP3s on. If I try and play any of these MP3s through the samba share Kubuntu sets up the audio player will crash. I've tried both Amarok and Kaffeine with the same result...Amarok tries to email off a crash report which I've pasted in below in case it helps.
It's definately not a codec problem as local MP3s play fine. I'm very new to Linux so apologise if some of my terminology is off! Any help would be great, its driving me mad, didnt have the problem in Mepis so not sure whats going on.
