I tried to install a package with libglib1.2 listed as a dependency. Dapper already has libglib2.0-0 installed, but the package installer fails, saying that it needs libglib1.2.
Why is it?
Isn't libglib2.0-0 a newer version than libglib1.2, or does versioning work different in Linux?
Or is this simply a case where a certain package is not compatible with a newer version of a dependancy?
