I've installed Kubuntu on one of my laptops (Acer Aspire - AMD64 build of Dapper).
There's a slightly annoying issue with graphics, where before X loads, and after X shuts down, the screen is just black.
On boot everything is fine throughout GRUB, but as soon as the kernel starts booting, it's a black screen all the way until X starts.
On shutdown, as soon as X dies, I get a black screen until the machine turns off/reboots.
Any ideas?
