Can't access security.ubuntu.com security-dapper Release.gpg

When I try to 'Fetch Updates' in adept, it stalls out at 'Waiting for headers 99%' and the status bar for the respository 'security.ubuntu.com security-dapper Release.gpg' drops from 100% to error.

When I try to find new software in Add/Remove Programs, the only software on the list are the programs I already have installed and a few grayed-out items.

The only thing I have done since adept stopped working properly was update my kernel to the 2.6.15.24 series. I am using Dapper 6.06-amd64 on an Athalon 3000+ with 512Mb DDR RAM and and ATi Radeon 9200SE video card.

Little help please?

The repositories have had some downtime these past few days, wait for a while and try again.
