no sound with firefox

I seem to have lost all sound when using firefox and opera both but it works fine when using konqueror. was working fine and then gone. I havvnt added any software or made any other changes that I can remember.

anyone have any ideas

were you playing music before that?.....
seems to me like if i am playing music and then try to watch a video on youtube or whatever, there is no sound.....
then i usually just pause Amarok and restart firefox.....
