video codecs

I am a new linux user, I have just installed kubuntu and i am having a little trouble with codecs, i have installed the win32 codecs as describe in the wiki for restricted formats, but i cannot play divx video's, all i get is the audio stream with no video, i am using kaffeine. any help is much appreciated.

you should try out Automatix.....
it will save you a lot of time and trouble.....

no problem.....
EasyUbuntu works just as well but doesnt offer nearly as much.....
