Amarok cause everything to disappear !!!

    Hi there,
I'm on Kubuntu 6.06, KDE 3.5.2 using NVidia drivers and my XServer work fine.

But, for a reason that I completly ignore, when opening and beginning to use Amarok (both 1.3.* and 1.4.*), every label of my desktop come blank on mouse over

Here is a screen shot of my problem.

To make things back right I must restart my XServer with CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE.

Please give me your opinion about this issue.

try upgrading to the latest and greatest before filing a bug: http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-353.php

Thanks for that "tips" but v3.5.2 has been (at a passed time) THE "latest and greatest" release of KDE, just before v3.5.3. And it's the one that came from the shipped Kubuntu Live CD.

So, I'll sure install every 58 patch that my Adept Notifier tell me, but I must wait for my new fresh 1 go bandwith/month at 90kbs/s from my cheap Internet resealer soon.

I notice that most of the time, the fact that there's people that don't have unlimited bandwith isn't really considered by Linux Community (even less those that don't have Internet at all). That explain why "always keep up to date" philosophy isn't mine. I prefer stability than be up to date.

In that case, I concede that my stability is really compromised.

There is a saying in the Linux community, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it". Seeing as your amarok is broke, you should fix it, but it's perfectly fine to not update your system.

          Also, another thing:
          1 go bandwith/month at 90kbs/s

How do you live? I go thru 1 Go (Gb here) a day at least at 17 kb/s! Or is it because in some European places they charge by the Gigabyte? I heard the download caps are bad there, I'm capped to 60gb a month here in Canada, but my ISP sucks*, most ISPs here don't cap

          * = they suck because I just found out they cap bittorrent downloads, and my internet's been down off and on for this past week (but I think it's because my cable and splitter is fried)
