K Menu - deleted - how to restore

My son deleted the K Menu. We went to the 'Configure - KDE Panel' and attempted to restore it. It is there, sort of. I can't get the icon back and you have no way to log off.... Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried right-clicking the panel and selecting "Add Applet to Panel"?

Looks like you hit the nail on the head. Strange to find it there instead of in the configuration panel. Thanks for the help.

Basically, the K Menu button is an applet or small program that launches the main KDE Menu. That's why it's in the right-click > Add Applet to Panel.
