    Assigning Keystrokes To Open Applications

    Hi,

Somewhere in KDE there ought to be a way to assign certain key combinations to open applications and other tasks.

Could someone please tell me where this is in Kunbuntu 6.6?

I have moved over from Suse and still trying to find my way around.

    Cheers

You can set keyboard shortcuts in (for example):

    1. KMenuEditor (Right-click on KMenu icon and choose Menu Editor)

    2. In Systemsettings (or kcontrol)>Regionality&Accessibility>Keyboard Shortcuts

    3. Open keyboard shortcut module with command 'kcmshell keys'
