Screen saver not working

Although screen saver appears properly set in System Settings the saver never appears, neither does the power saver switch off the screen.

Is this common?

Are there solutions?

This is a bug in KDE 3.5.3. Have a look at this thread

There is a fix for it. The bug has been fixed in KDE but has not come through with the Kubuntu updates as yet. Shouldn't be too long, I hope.

There was a lot of people working on this bug and at last I got my screensaver fixed, thaks to evryone involved...
